Pediatric Occupational Therapist

​

Happy Hearts is looking for a pediatric Occupational Therapist for Berks and/or Schuylkill County.

​

Essential duties and responsibilities:

​

-Provide specialized Early Intervention support for families who have concerns for their child to achieve independence in all areas of their lives.

-Meet with families in their natural environment to coach parents/caregivers on implementing strategies to promote their child’s development.

-Record progress to monitor each child’s development.

-Communicate with the families to identify their priorities and concerns.

-Compose detailed session notes identifying coaching strategies and ways to carry over skills throughout everyday routines.

-Complete quarterly reports and updates to the child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).

-Participate in IFSP meetings.

-Other duties as they arise.

 

Qualifications:

-Individual must have strong organizational and communication skills, flexibility, attention to detail, patience, physical endurance, and an understanding of child development.

 

Our occupational therapists help children live life to the fullest! They can help with all routines such as feeding, self care, playing, engaging with others, and participating in the community.

Education/experience:

-Has successfully completed the NBCOT national examination.

-Must be currently licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Pennsylvania.

-1 year pediatric experience

 

 
Pediatric Physical Therapist
​

Happy Hearts is looking for a pediatric Physical Therapist for Berks and possibly Schuylkill County.

​

Essential duties and responsibilities:

​

-Meet with families in their natural environment to coach parents/caregivers on implementing strategies to promote their child’s gross motor abilities.

-Record progress to monitor each child’s development.

-Communicate with the families to identify their priorities and concerns.

-Compose detailed session notes identifying coaching strategies and ways to carry over skills throughout everyday routines.

-Complete quarterly reports and updates to the child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).

-Participate in IFSP meetings.

-Other duties as they arise.

 

Qualifications:

-Individual must have strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, patience, physical endurance, and understanding of child development.

 

Our physical therapists help to maximize a child’s physical abilities with a hands-on approach.  Our focus is to help those children who demonstrate deficits in gross motor development, strength, mobility, gait and posture.  

 

Education/experience:

-Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)

-1 year pediatric experience

-Must be currently licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of Pennsylvania.

 

 

Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist

 

Happy Hearts is looking for a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist for Berks County.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities:

 

-Meet with families in their natural environment to coach parents on implementing strategies and techniques to promote the development of their infant/toddler's language, cognitive, social, and feeding skills.

-Record progress to monitor each child’s development.

-Communicate with the families to identify their priorities and concerns.

-Compose detailed session notes identifying coaching strategies and ways to carry over skills throughout everyday routines.

-Complete quarterly reports and updates to the child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).

-Participate in IFSP meetings.

-Other duties as they arise.

 

Qualifications:

Our speech language pathologists address speech, language, communication and feeding services. They work with families to help their child communicate to the best of their ability.

 

Education/experience:

-Master’s Degree in Speech language pathology

-1 year pediatric experience

-Must be currently licensed as a Speech language pathologist in the State of Pennsylvania

-Must have your ASHA certification
